This company charges way too much for electricity. I had never had a problem with electrical companies until my apartment decided to use NEP. One time, I remember making a payment, and then, an hour later, they stole more money from my account without my permission. I had to put a stop pay on my account. This company needs to be shut down.*

I am Honestly shocked that this is legal. We are being charged DOUBLE what we would be charged with any other provider. Two adults that both work full time. We are hardly home and somehow we’re paying over $300 a month for an apartment! This is more than people with whole houses pay.

Business response:

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Please know that Nationwide Energy Partners (NEP) greatly values your feedback and experience as a resident of an NEP partner community. Electric rates have increased significantly over the past several months. It is important to understand that NEP is contractually obligated to charge at or below the host utility’s residential rate. In other words, the rates you are billed by NEP will always be at or below the rates you would have been charged if you were billed directly... read more

I have lived in my apartment complex for a little over two years now. NEP has always been the energy (electric + water) provider. For context, I live by myself in a single bedroom unit with high ceilings, work a hybrid job, and have pretty “normal” usage of said utilities. With the above being said, during summer months when I have to turn on my a/c, my aggregate energy bill is ALWAYS over $200 a month and in the colder/winter months (no a/c and rarely turn on my heat as I am on the second floor and get good residual heat fr... read more

SCAM of a company was on vacation half of the month and had a 500$ energy bill for a 2 bedroom apartment which mind you is more than double my parents house where they have 3 other kids living there who all constantly play games and use energy. No customer service. no explanation for this terrible bill. No care for people who are in school and working just so they can pay their bills. Avoid this company at all costs and avoid moving into apartments that use this company.

Business response:

Hi *****, Thank you for taking the time to express your concerns with BBB. We value your feedback and experience as a resident of a Nationwide Energy Partners (NEP) partner community. We understand your frustrations. Electric rates have increased significantly recently and this may have a profound impact on your energy bill. It is important to understand that NEP is contractually obligated to charge at or below the host utility’s residential rates, and we take this obligation very seriously. If you reside in an area where th... read more

It should be illegal to charge people for paying a bill! I already pay $50 a month in “customer fees” before we even get to my actual usage. There is a reason these kinds of “middleman” companies are illegal in so many other states. Extreme corporate greed & billing deception!!! Burn in HELL, trash!!

I personally had no problems with the company except when I paid off an outstanding balance they told me that they would remove it off my credit report. I paid the bill on 05/13/2022, and it's still on my credit report stating unpaid. I need this took off my credit report. Thanks,

Absolutely horrible company. Our complex uses this company for water. We had set it on auto pay and it didn’t even work, left us with a giant bill. We set up a payment plan that was again not enabled, added even more to the bill. We received a eviction threat from our complex stating that we had 10 days to resolved after ANOTHER FAILED PAYMENT PLAN. Their autopay never works and now it’s causing issues. All our other utilities are on auto pay and have had zero issues except for this horrible company. Their payment systems ar... read more
