Nationwide energy partners is a horrible company. It seems like theyre not even governed under the same codes and policies as Aep. On two occasions my electricity was cut off in error. The first time this happened I called customer service and this issue was fixed within a matter of an hour each or two. The second time this happened was on November 17, 2021 I called **************** around 6 oclock and spoke with a customer service agent. I checked on a payment that was made by community action she verified the payment which... read more

This company is awful. In addition to extremely high prices, Im now in my second major outage across this entire LC community in just a few months. They have ZERO ways of reliably reporting an outage, not even an online form. How is this possible in 2021? You can report and track outages online with almost every power company, and this company doesnt even have a dedicated phone line for 24/7 support. During the first outage, I ended up having to call another LC complexs emergency maintenance and have them put in a ticket aft... read more

Dear Cody,Nationwide Energy Partners (NEP) sincerely values and appreciates resident feedback regarding the quality of services we provide on behalf of our partner property owners/associations. We are grateful for the opportunity to respond to your concerns.NEP provides maintenance for the electric infrastructure at each property we service, but the generation of power and delivery is performed by the host utility, *********************** (***). During any reported outage at a community we serve, our field technicians visit ... read more

Inflates utility rates to apartment tenants who have no other utility option. Offers no explanation for exceptionally high utility rates. Such a large scale operation needs oversight.

I am a 25 year old woman that lives by myself in this complex and my electric from the months of august to now (March) has exceeded $270+ a month. I travel more than 2 weeks out of the month so i normally cut everything completely off fri. My fuse box except my refrigerator and my heat/AC in which i set at 70 while I’m gone. DO NOT MOVE HERE. My rent is 911 + 270 totaling $1181 for a 700sq ft ONE bedroom. Totally unacceptable. The apartments itself are nice but the electric alone is enough for me to tell you not to rent here... read more

Lived in a 1,300 square foot apartment for 34 days and my energy bill is $545. Did not think this is something you would need to ask when looking for a new apartment but absolutely staying clear of any apartment complex with NEP as electric providers going forward.

I called last week, I recently moved and didn't have access to my my mail box key yet, so i was unable to get my new account number and the amount due. I spoke with Dan who provided excellent customer service. He gave me my account number and payment due date. He even went as far as to providing me with more details so that I would be able to make my payment that was missed. He was helpful, caring, and empathetic to my needs.

This is the absolute worst and most fraudulent company maybe in the entire nation. They simply purchase energy st wholesale prices and resell it at EXTREMELY INCREASED rates. They charge approximately 1.789x AEP. They have been brought before Ohio Supreme Court and won because they buy off politicans. DO NOT RENT FROM ANYWHERE USING THEM (LC is their biggest but Chelsea etc.) Public Utilities Commission of Ohio is working to classify them as a provider which will put them out of business. You ought to be ashamed of yourselve... read more

Business response:

Mr. Neal, Nationwide Energy Partners (“NEP”) values and appreciates resident feedback regarding the quality of the services we provide on behalf of our partner property owners (i.e. our “customer(s)”). NEP delivers a unified bill to each resident in the community at the request of the resident’s property owner (our “customer”) that includes electricity, water and common area usage charges (referred to as “community charges” on a resident bill.) As a condition of service with our customers, NEP is obligated to always match or... read more
