I wish I would have checked Yelp before I wrote this review so I could have used the coupon!! Anyways, I was in town and looking for thrift stores and an oil change. Lucky for me, there's a thrift store right next to this place!! I pulled up and the nice front desk girl immediately greeted me, got my info, and informed me it's be a 45 minute wait. I called to ask how much it would cost to do an oil, lube and filter on my 2012 Toyota Corolla. The guy told me it would be $100. I told him he was crazy and hung up. The shop I usually go to that also is on college avenue usually does the oil change on my car and with a coupon I get online it costs me around $50. I'm not crazy...even the Toyota dealership doesn't charge $100 for an oil, lube, and filter on my car. What a rip off!

Our son came home to visit, and have his 2008 car smogged. It failed, and needed the Oxygen Sensor replaced. We ended up at Oil Stop on Santa Rosa Avenue where the work could be completedin an hour or so. A $35-$55 sensor cost $350 there! In our absence the "mechanic" replaced the Fresh Air Intake Hose/Tube; without authorization. As a "...favor..." he installed a replacement at his cost... $110. I had a stress-free experience here during my first ever visit here. Upon rolling in towards the front, I was told by an employee it would be about a 45 minute wait. The man asked me what I wanted to drink and brought me back a 7-Up promptly. There was two cars in front of me and it took about 40 minutes for my pick-up truck to finally get serviced. Unprecedented customer service for an oil change. Some similar establishments seem to try and sell extra products to you with apparent motivations of increasing profits. These guys simply share objective opinions and share visual samples of oil levels, color, etc. I bring both my cars here regularly. Rolando remembered my name and inquired as to why I didn't bring my dog like the time previously - n between oil changes (3 months) without prompting. Very courteous staff. Price reasonable. Mentioned different services my vehicle could use, but didn't hassle me when I said no. I'll take my car back for those other services soon.

Professional, timely, explanatory, streamlined. Tires, door hinge lube part of oil change. Windshields washed. Crew is all business and you are right there to see it (you stay in your car). Coddingtown location. Yes they offer beverages. They do try to sell you things but you can say yes/no and no hard sell. Super polite. Good value here.

I went here a few days ago. They charged me about $60 for a routine oil change which I feel is a good price. A little bit more expensive than places in San Jose but this will do since I don't live there anymore. It's a drive thru so of course you sit in the car which is a plus when you're lazy as hell. They check your other fluid levels without them asking and will advise you so. They also ask if you'd want to get other services done and not just go ahead without your permission. I highly recommend this location.
