The literal worst. We bought our house aprx April 1, the air went out the first time in May. It has not consistently worked since (now October). We live in ******* - with temperatures at 115 in the summer. They keep coming out and piecemeal fixes instead of replacing it and it breaks again 3 weeks later. Horrible service. Long wait times. People do not call back for weeks. Our AC unit malfunctioned due to a natural malfunction. Yet their contractor they sent out said the unit malfunctioned due to construction dust - we dont even know what that is. I hired our own AC contractor, sent them the report from our ac contractor and our home inspection - everything matches that the unit malfunctioned. No call back for 3 weeks. I purchased a new refrigerator from ***************** in 19 2019 I called old republic for home protection. The icemaker and the LED lights on my refrigerator thats barely 3 1/2 years old went out. I paid his service provider $85 to come and inspect the unit. I have called Old Republic three times today August 16 was the last phone call at 9:05 AM I was informed they are not replacing the icemaker. They are not replacing the LED lights. Typical home warranty company that doesnt cover what goes wrong with the house!! People ask me whats the best home warranty company, I always say none of them. I have had multiple contractors all saying to call another contractor because we cant help you. I literally paid a service fee and still have the same plumbing problem. What. Joke!

This company is a waist of time and money. I've been trying to get a serious plumbing issue resolved for weeks. A plumber came, immediately took my $85 before I could even say anything, then he ended up doing nothing but flushing my toilet a bunch of times. He said there is a serious problem in my bathroom but disregarded my concerns about the water and sewage backing up on the floor. He offered no solution and left. I bought an "ultimate" plan last December effective early 2023 that does not cover a 3 yr old Refrigerator even though an icon on their front page of the contract shows a refrigerator but then in small type "some states don't apply". As I spent nearly $1K on this purchase of the home warranty I am astounded that appliances are not covered in even the standard plan. I am very rarely write a review. My experience with Old Republic is so poor I felt compelled to write this. I wish I never had this warranty product. Its delayed me fixing up my house for weeks.I had two broken items. The first was a Dishwasher. The in networks repairman couldnt fix it and had to order parts. Hard to get any repair done under ORHP as most of the time the contractors report (use the wording for the diagnosis) the repair as modification, not as per the current code and inspect the work in one week. So, ORHP simply respond that sorry this repair or rectification is out of our scope and not covered under the ORHP insurance.Emergency ***************** a Big Issue: For any emergencies e.g. Water leak, drainage or HVAC issues; the contractor/s will not show up for days.
