My a/c unit was not operating properly, the temperature from noon until 8 pm was as high as 80 even when the thermostat was at 72. I requested service, they sent a technician. I had to call him after 5 days to schedule an appointment. When he finally came out he spent two minutes looking at the outside unit, put his head in the attic then goes to the return air plenum and says it is too small. If you want to just give your money away, go ahead and buy a plan with Old Republic Home Protection. So far, they have covered NOTHING, IF you can even get service. I have had to pay out of pocket to get work done - in addition to their service fee - to fix everything. For my electric oven, the service technician never showed up. Turned out the company they selected has a 1 star rating and many complaints for never showing up. I gave up and fixed it myself using ******* videos. I submitted a claim 7/17/23 because our unit was not blowing hot air. A Tech from their in network providers came to look at it that same evening we filed. He submitted his recommendation to replace the unit because what we have is **** model that requires R22 which is now illegal in ********** And there was an active leak we could hear. 7/21/23 I called to check on the status of our claim, the person on tells me that for an unknown reason our account is locked and she couldn't tell me much info. 7/24/23 I call back and our ... read more

They increase premium every year and its extremely hard to get them pay for repairs. Wait time to get them on the phone around 30 minutes and their representatives are usually not welcoming & supportive. More importantly their service providers are below average. They are usually less responsive and knowledgeable than most others.

This company is a fraud and a hoax. I own property in ******* and the ** went out at Memorial Day weekend. Old republic jerked around my tenants for one and a half months and never fixed the **. They sent 3 different service companies, each of which could not have cared less that there was 110 ******* plus for weeks and my tenants had to move. I had to replace the ** at $12,850 and give free rent. I have yet to hear from Old Republic. This company is nonsense.

The best??!! No, you denied a single mother of two children a policy renewal, because I quote you filed claims and now considered a liability to the company. HOW DO YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT?? She lost you money?! Almost 100 bucks a month for THREE years. But the kicker is, she was told home warranty companies communicate with each other about liabilities and she may be denied by other companies too. What is the point of being covered and using your home warranty if THIS happens? You people are monsters, plain and simple.
