Had a great experience with Orkin. I suspected bedbugs and had scheduled another exterminator for one Saturday morning, who never showed up. I was distraught, called about 10 different companies before someone at Orkin finally answered. Not only were they able to send someone same-day on a Saturday, but the guy got here in less than an hour. There is one entity that lives in my apartment, has more legs than me, and is a different species. It is my dog and my dog only. I'd am very committed to keeping it that way. No six-legged Germans allowed, only four-pawed cute ones. My building had a polite, friendly service guy today who was patient with my endless "This won't hurt my dog, will it? I had been using Orkin for over ten years but recently discontinued them. Service people were very polite and friendly, but they've had too many price increases and $58 is a lot to pay for a guy spritzing a house for 15 minutes once a month. BTW, a few years ago they gave as a reason for their most recent price increase the cost of drug-testing their employees. Would I really care if my exterminator has a drug problem?

Please do not use their service. They charge a lot of money but provide no real help. The first visit cost us $250, and they did almost nothing -- they just closed one hole and that was it. No treatment, no solution for the mice problem. Later they asked if we wanted a monthly subscription for inspections. I clearly said no, but they still signed us up and charged us anyway. I've already placed my review on here for Orkin. I sincerely hope that anyone else highly considers going elsewhere. They don't listen, they treated my Veteran uncle like garbage, especially the man that came to our home. I'm pretty sure that everyone is used to being able to tell a person to leave and them do so... NOT ORKIN! They stay on your property and beg for work. ~ Buyer Beware ~

My family & I had never had to use a service like this until this year when we had to have a tree cut down. We ended up with a bunch of logs that had not been gotten rid of yet and a lovely hive of Yellow Jackets had made themselves a home. Everything was fine but, we have 3 dogs, one being a 1yr old & very inquisitive pup. He stirred them up, 2 out of 3 dogs got stung and a decision was made to call Orkin. I used Orkin in Gurnee, IL for years with nothing but continued problems. My local people were nice and tried to help but my issues never went away. I spent thousands of dollars, doing every plan and service they recommended. Years later, I still have mice issues. When I called to cancel my services, they did not seem to care. I was very unhappy and frustrated about throwing my money away.

I have a commercial account with Orkin (Dallas, TX), including a Termite Bond for a 34-building apartment community. While I've only had to call for termite issues a few times over the past two years, the process of requesting service has become increasingly frustrating and difficult. I don't normally post on things like this. However, I hired Orkin 2 months ago and told them I had pets- they left sticky pads all over my house without telling me (my pet got stuck to one of them before I found them all) - so I immediately canceled my subscription- I asked to speak to a manager about the matter and no one ever called me back. They Just charged my debit card another $112 dollars when no one even showed up to my house for a subsequent visit (i canceled my membership).
