This company is the BIGGEST ripoff ever; especially the Crystal Lake, IL branch led by Dan Adams!! They say thing and do another! If you do business with them, they provide you 1 schedule and then change it when they want. This company statement is a lie!! Had a mouse problem. We understood that the exclusion of the mice from getting into the home was the key concern. Orkin came and put bait traps- initial cost $250. Showed up once for 5 minutes in the next two months and charged us another $111. Still have mice, after spending $360. An 'assessor' came out and quoted us over $8000 to put exclusion material on the exterior of our home. I am livid!!! Orkin Pest Control has the worst customer service ever!! Several years ago we began service with them. I later came to learn from the regional sales manager that the original salesman overcharged us and did not do right by us and he was let go from Orkin for unscrupulous acts. But that's not the worst of it. In November of 2022 I called to make the final payment on our account for the year (we pay quarterly) and was told by customer service that they did not see a balance on my account. Complete waste of money save your money it's a scam. Once they get your money & no help. Automatically set up appointments. Managers lie & forget to note what actually was said. None of the feeders or traps have caught or fed anything since installed In october.

I would give 0 stars if possible. I'm never someone to complain, but Orkin is a complete rip off. I had a rat issue in my condo, the guy came out, set up 2 mouse traps and said, good luck. I was scared to go in on day the came after seeing the rat. When my dad came over, he realized they basically did nothing. I called them back and said, I have rats not mice... so, they came back to set up rat traps. I asked if they would be looking to plug in holes and help me to stop this from happening. We were quoted an outrageous amount of $9000 to have a rat situation handled. The sales person was a bit pushy on the matter, saying we needed to book it as soon as possible etc. We told him we needed time to think it over. Seeing that $9000 is A LOT of money. We got quotes from 3 other companies who all quoted between $2000-$2500 for the same service! So we clearly knew we were being taken advantage of. I scheduled an appointment for roach prevention 1.5 years ago in Aug and they keep on coming every month and baiting. But the cockroaches have not died, they keep on coming and sometimes increase. I tried to call them but the office was closed, sometimes nobody responds, and their is no reply to the email. Finally, when I wanted to cancel, the rep said that we would have come multiple times to take care of the problem and the manager would have been involved. I called last Thursday 11/9 to schedule appt to prevent roaches and the rep was nice and assured me I would not be charged until after they came in and completed the service on Sat 11/11 from 12-2p. on Sat they sent me a text that they were on their way around 1115a. they sent me another text that they're here on 1145a. I went outside and noone was there.
