I called Orkin for a quote for residential pest control services. I decided not to hire them because I was told that the only way I could hire them was to read my credit card info over the phone. I refused. Never read your card number over the phone! I asked for a link in an email as a bill to input my info sercurely but was told they don't do that. it sounded like a rip off and I treated them as such.

Called and got the local branch in Manteno Illinois. I was told they could come out same day and treat the inside and outside for a mouse problem along with finding the entry point. I agreed and paid $292.18. Upon showing up, the tech looked around for 2 minutes and said "I see tracings of mice" and set 3 snap traps and said that was all he could do. I have had an Orkin subscription for about 3 months and I still have mice in my home. They initially had an inspector come out and we identified all entry and exit points for the mice, and the work has been done to seal those areas yet the mice are still present. Each month I am paying a minimum of $50 and they have put down $20 worth of traps that you can get from any ACE hardware store, but have not attempted to locate the mice or investigate further. I had someone come out to treat for mice and bugs 2days later nothing was resolved I gave it 2weeks and I still had the same problem. I reached outbto customer service for 8days for a refund no one called me back or followed up with me.

Sheri Ricci July 21, 2024 I am writing regarding the work ORKIN did in my home last year, October 2023. Orkin removed old insulation in the attic, in the home, and garage, then added foam insulation in the basement. I have financed a high price for this service. First and foremost, I was quoted $10,000.00 for the complete project. After I received the financing, I was charged over $12,000.00 then your company back peddled and stated OH NO, that was not the quote, the promise we made was the payment would be under $400.00.... read more

Really rude customer service, named Courteney, she hung up on me after telling me that I wasted her time staying on the phone asking her questions and that she had already set up an appointment! Then to find out that they don't even service my area! Very rude, they don't deserve any stars, but no option for that so one star is being kind!

I am very frustrated with their service. It takes a long time to connect in the office. They keep on giving time to solve any issue. I will not recommend connecting customer service for local offices. I must say " Orkin is a good company with poor customer service".

Our regular service guy is great, but Orkin is not responsive to requests to return. We are currently experiencing an ant invasion. I have tried ant traps with no success. They are crawling all over my kitchen counter. I called to have them come back out on Tuesday. First I was told the soonest they could come was Friday. When I said that wasn't acceptable, they offered Thursday. They say they will return if there's a problem, but they refuse to do so in a timely manner. Roaches got into my apartment from my neighbor's apartment below me. After over 5 months of Orkin, l saw no improvement. Their guys would just show up, spray around my cabinet, occasionally use bait or glue boards, then leave. My problem never improved. In fact, it seemed like l'd see more roaches a couple of days after they were here. l became frustrated with the lack of improvement, and ended the service.
