As a patient who has attended Pacific Grove Hospital two times, I must say that they are here to break you instead of receiving the help that patients desperately deserve. You’re promised two outside times a day in which you are only given one if it’s your lucky day. Patients are supposed to be given a patient code in order to get in contact with loved ones, but Pacific Grove Hospital doesn’t even give the patient themselves their own patient code. I have had loved ones reach out to me to get updates about my stay, but the p... read more

Staff is really nice and caring. My stay was ... due to a family accident/incident, but I made the best of it and learned a few valuable lessons along the way. The food is good, and I put on a few pounds! Again, great staff overall and... if you are going through a hard time I'd even recommend checking yourself in here at Pacific Grove. 😇

edited: the severe stress from being at this hospital has caused me to be on my period for over a month leading to severe blood loss and if it continues; a blood transfusion. I was placed on a 5150 hold after a panic attack and had a terrible experience. The facility didn't inform me of rules or amenities, and supplies were always low. I had no room or pillow for days. Staff treated me like an incarcerated animal,we wore ankle monitors, they checking my location constantly and making it hard to sleep staff would be in and ou... read more

I have been going here for a month for PHP. I tried to work with them but they only care about what they're doing. They've made me uncomfortable. You don't get the choice to change facilitators unless you confront them. They added these noise canceling machines that are so loud they disrupt the group. I was told that we could process about anything but apparently I can't process about Pacific Grove and their PHP program. They don't want to hear about what they're doing wrong. What they do is wrong. The corner you in an offic... read more

I just took a psych referral to this place drove him all the way from another facility they said they had a bed ready for him. When I got there the front desk lady was rude and told me that they didn't have a bed form actually and that I was going to have to take him back with me finally after my boss spoke to them and they realized they did have a bed for him they left my patient who was in active manic condition waiting for an hour. The staff did not help calm him down or talk to him whatsoever they took his property and t... read more
