My son was admitted here and through the care, .compasion & medical treatment he has been clean & sober 62 days and counting. Thanks to the intake nurse Brittany and the inpatient staff my son now has his life back. He is working his steps and because of this facility he is alive and very happy. He is eternally gratefull to all the staff. He said they were tuff when needed to be and yet still showing him the compansion and encoragement he needed. We are all greatfull that he went to this hospital. Highly recommend it to tho... read more

I was here for a week ( voluntary unit ) back in October and the entire experience was a ton better than other inpatient stays I've had in the past. Everyone here, from my assigned physician, to the social workers were absolutely wonderful to work with. Groups were informative and useful- I learned and reinforced a lot of different coping skills. Art was the only group here that was "Meh" and the fact that they have no music therapy was a total letdown ( Should you read this, please consider making music therapy an additiona... read more

This place changed my life. I struggled with major depression, severe social anxiety, and a panic disorder for several years, and I had hit rock bottom. I didn't think I would last the year. Thankfully, the therapist I was seeing at the time had encouraged me to find an outpatient program that I could attend and get the daily care I needed while still sleeping in my own bed, in my own home. My mom googled...and this place popped up. Coming here was the best decision I could have possibly made. Through incredible talk therapi... read more

I can't say enough good things about this hospital. I was there for 17 days from February to March and I had many good and bad experiences. 1.) Some of the staff at the time didn't give a shit 2.) Most do 3.) There is a Nutritionist on staff, so the food is not only edible, but delicious, with vegetarian options as well 4.) The voluntary ward, at the time of this writing, still allows smoking outside, which is a huge positive because it gives you time to bond with other patients and possibly start lasting relationships 5... read more

I was a patient at Pacific Grove Hospital from November 11th through November 20th, 2014. The Staff were super kind & helpful, the food was GREAT, my room was clean & I meet some really nice people. When I needed to talk there was always someone available. I would definitaly recommend it to someone in need!!

Yesterday 4-2-2025 my family was told that our family member would be discharged by Dr. Coskinas, per our request and concerns. Today the doctor says no they need to wait for the court hearing planned for today. However, SW Tiffany was and is a Godsend. She was the complete opposite of what we had been experiencing, including the patient. She was compassionate thorough, and professional; if she didn't have the answer she got the answer. Even with her sweet spirit our loved one was ready to get out of this ridiculous place a... read more

Not one star because the staff, nurses and psychiatrists, seem to care, although it can be difficult to get a straight answer to questions or concerns. Low rating mostly for phone calls. It is the most difficult thing to get anyone to answer the phone, and when you actually do, the department you're trying to get in contact with isn't available. You can call throughout the day and the machine will still say "all staff is busy with other phone calls". Wish there was more reliability.

The things they do at this place and the treatment of patients and their families have to be reported to the agencies with oversight. Our loved one was placed here because no other beds were available. The "psychiatrist" did not even evaluate our loved one during their stay, but somehow diagnosed them with paranoid schizophrenia, which is about the furthest applicable diagnosis for their symptoms (they have been properly evaluated by psychiatrists before). It is clear based on our experience and what seems like the experienc... read more
