They canceled one of my multiple policies during covid shutdown in June, then sent me an overpayment refund in November. Attempted to reinstate the policy and pay a year in advance and was turned down. So much for keeping my business and money local. Will make sure I let everyone know how unprofessional this local insurance company is. I do not recommend Pekin insurance for any of your needs.
Definitely don’t like dealing with this insurance company. I was involved in a rear end collision and the person at fault uses Pekin Insurance. The adjuster that was assigned to my claim never returns my calls and isn’t addressing my concerns. The repairs were done because Pekin is working with the body shop but my car does not look the same as before my accident. My car was hit by their insured. Took the estimator a week to approve the supplemental damages, collision center was done with the repairs in about a day besides one back ordered part which was completed Friday. Have received the most ridiculous run around trying to get them to send a screenshot of payment to collision center so they can release my car going on 4 days now. Absolutely atrocious work ethic, communication, and follow through from start to finish, whenever that will be.

They totaled out our vehicle after my husband hit a deer. Thats fine. Said they mailed out a check on the 23rd come to find out didnt mail it out til Monday which means we lost at least a day or 2 of shipping to get out check. They were sure to get the totaled vehicle, but couldn't even send out a check ASAP? now I'm without a vehicle and no check. Which feels so wrong. I filed a claim in April and continue to get the runaround from this joke of an insurance company. After multiple requests for management name, I was sent to Bob Keegan. It’s been a week since I emailed him. No response. Don’t waste your money. Hope they’re ready for a lawsuit because I’m over it I will also be reporting the company to the NAIC. Not a good insurance company. There are hundreds you can get insurance through, and Pekin may be one of the worst. A family member had a devastating fire and Pekin Insurance did everything they could to fight the claim. They did a great job taking the premium for many years, but the horrible customer service, and lack of interest in what happened to long-term customers was disgusting and not what anyone should have to go through. I have been trying to reach our adjuster since the end of June with no luck. I have spoke with Customer Service at Pekin and they have supposedly sent emails to him on my behalf. I have called him directly, emailed him and sent text messages still no reply. I will most definitely be looking for new home owners insurance.

You have hung us out to dry. Derecho happened August 10th. Company you hired Sedgwick sentTrident Restorations to do a full estimate on all repairs. They came, took pictures, wrote things down. Tarped our roof but if failed in the next set of storms so now even more damage. Then Saturday September 12th Trident called and said they couldn’t help us. Nothing ever made it to Pekin. Now we cannot find anyone to do our roof and all other repairs.
