They totaled out our vehicle after my husband hit a deer. Thats fine. Said they mailed out a check on the 23rd come to find out didnt mail it out til Monday which means we lost at least a day or 2 of shipping to get out check. I filed a claim in April and continue to get the runaround from this joke of an insurance company. After multiple requests for management name, I was sent to Bob Keegan. It’s been a week since I emailed him. No response. Don’t waste your money. Hope they’re ready for a lawsuit because I’m over it I will also be reporting the company to the NAIC. Not a good insurance company. There are hundreds you can get insurance through, and Pekin may be one of the worst. A family member had a devastating fire and Pekin Insurance did everything they could to fight the claim. They did a great job taking the premium for many years, but the horrible customer service, and lack of interest in what happened to long-term customers was disgusting and not what anyone should have to go through. I have been trying to reach our adjuster since the end of June with no luck. I have spoke with Customer Service at Pekin and they have supposedly sent emails to him on my behalf. I have called him directly, emailed him and sent text messages still no reply. I will most definitely be looking for new home owners insurance.

You have hung us out to dry. Derecho happened August 10th. Company you hired Sedgwick sentTrident Restorations to do a full estimate on all repairs. They came, took pictures, wrote things down. Tarped our roof but if failed in the next set of storms so now even more damage. Then Saturday September 12th Trident called and said they couldn’t help us. Nothing ever made it to Pekin. Now we cannot find anyone to do our roof and all other repairs.

After being with Pekin auto Insurance for 12 years I decided to change companies. Pekin raised my rate and I needed to save money, as I live on a fixed income. I was involved in a hit and run with one of their customers. My truck is so messed up and after over 2 weeks of calling over and over NO ONE HAS EVEN CAME OUT TO LOOK AT MY VEHICLE nor have I even SPOKEN with someone except for the receptionist. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and DOI. This is completely wrong and unacceptable.

In my experience, if there was no social media, there will be no short term resolution of my case, and that shows a lack of procedure and good intention from claim department,the only good words that i can say is for the social media team( the FB page) which are helpful and respectful, they by their good behavior are the winners in this story.
