I started the re-fi process in March (granted we’re dealing with COVID-19) but they dropped the first app after everything including paying $485 for the appraisal. I was expecting it was going to fund, after a month of hearing nothing from them I called and they tell me “ we’re sorry we couldn’t get a hold of you and closed the file” I called in to Adam Key who got it fired right back up and Shalom Babalola handled it to it’s completion in December. Just frustrating, glad it’s over. Thank you
Credit Report was not correct and needed to be requested a second to reflect new changes but was ignored.... Communication was at times difficult by phone and messages. Appraisal was a terrible experience. Closing money still has not cleared over one week after deposit. We will not do this again....
Everyone was patient with me and answered all my questions and concerns. I just wished I waited because I have friends refinancing now and they have a much better loan rate. One is at 2.8. Wow! There's no way of knowing. Thank you for your help.

Many people reached out in the beginning which was fine except it wasn’t clear who I should direct questions to. I had to make 2 requests for more cash out after appraisal came in better than expected- the 2nd one being when first closing docs were available and my request wasn’t reflected which delayed closing a bit.
I will not be the person to fault a business (PennyMac) based on a bad experience. I've been with PennyMac for nearly 2 years...and wanted PenntMac to be the company I dealt with to refinance. Understand this didn't just start with Xavier.
Covid was a factor for delays and i was asked for redondant documents, possibly because I am retired but nevertheless those requests were annoying considering my income level. Once all got squared away, Jennifer was very professional, accurate and responsive.
The "Team" seems to be uncoordinated in relaying information, and difficult to make contact. All information/ transactions should be cc'd to team leader to ensure all participants are in the loop to ease recovery of information throughout process. Only dealt with one team member during process, ( Mercedes), and I'm sure she was handling other other contracts at the same time, but some matters were delayed due to inability to speak with team members in a timely manner.
