Michael Kramer and Gina Merritt were very knowledgeable and professional from start to finish. I did not have any issues dealing with them. Great process
I felt like the communication was excellent starting with my first contact to PennyMac to inquire about refinancing. I understood my tasks and PennyMac processed things on their end within a timely manner. Ryan was helpful in getting my flood insurance increased by his contact to my insurance agent and providing the information my agent needed to secure the increased coverage. I like doing business with PennyMac .
The closing disclosure I received prior to the notary showing up at my door was not accurate. I found that $13500 was being withheld because of taxes. The first tax payment is not due until 11/15 20. I am not happy with my money being held for several months without being informed in advance. In addition I do not like giving over the use of my money for several months while I am charged interest calculated on a daily basis in the closing cost details. Process was extremely long. There was a lot of confusion as to what my final numbers were for the disclosure.
I have bought homes or re-financed over a dozen times and this was, by far, the smoothest process ever. I honestly thought I was forgetting things because it was too easy. I think this went from initial phone call to signing closing papers, at my kitchen table, in about 3 weeks. Incredible.
The process of refinancing our home loan with PennyMac was a good experience. However, I did not like the 3rd party loan closer. He 'demanded' that I wear a face mask instead of asking me politely. It is MY house and I could have setup an eight foot table as well as wear the mask. I did sanitize the chair and table portion that he used after he left my home.
It was not stressful, but took a long time ,but we were updated every week ,so I would recommend Penny Mac to everyone !
