I was looking to get a Home Equity, so I reached out to PennyMac since they are with whom I have my home mortgage with. The day before we were closing on the loan, I get a call from them that we cannot close because we needed a payoff letter from one of the loans I was paying off. We had to push the closing to another date. What an inconvenience. Then they use a title company called Townsgate Closing Services. If you have a say PLEASE stay away from using Townsgate.
