Refinance went relatively smoothly and I was able to lock in a great rate with little out of pocket expense. My loan team was very knowledgeable and communicated clearly and frequently. Any time I had questions they were promptly answered and any issues that came up were instantly addressed and remediated.
It was good. Just took a really long time and had to keep sending my paystub because it took so long. And info were request that didn’t make sense at time. But we got it done. That’s the main goal.

The PennyMac team was there for me every step of the way. Even with a couple of bumps in the road, we were able to steer my son and I into a new home with a FANTASTIC rate!!!

After submitting all of my documents, the stage to get clear title took much longer than I expected (especially for a refi). I think this was more on the title company than PennyMac, but PennyMac chose the title company. This required me to keep submitting pay stubs (to have the "most recent" documents). Our first closing didn't happen (notary never showed up, and we got no communication until hours later), the next was pretty rude. Faiza was great with updates, but next time I'd pick a title co
