I already had Penny Mac, so the refi was simple enough. I was able to save a little over $400 per month. The only part that was frustrating was that my cash to close kept changing. It went all the way from me getting $200 to paying $1,700. I would still recommend them.

Refinance Loan closing took longer than actually buying the house. I had to follow up with loan rep. ZERO questions have been answered. Cash due at signing didn't match my documents, received an email at 2am the morning of closing from the rep stating the amount due at closing, which was unexpected. The closing rep came to closing with another amount all together. No record of payment. Called into find out about my property tax payment, with no answer. ...ran out of room. Have more to type!

2nd home I have closed with PennyMac and they are always quick and pleasent to work with. You always have a person that is your point of contact and make sure your happy throughout the process. They are very transparent and easily reachable.

My home loan was already with PennyMac so doing an In-house VA streamline refinance to save hundreds a month was a no brainer. The process was smooth and the closing went extremely fast. My advice to fellow veterans is to do it before you miss out.
