The entire process was seamless and efficient. No back and forth requesting documents.
Molly was responsive and always answered any questions. The loan didn't close as fast as we had hoped, but it wasn't due to PennyMac, it was just a product of the times with record number of mortgages and refinances happening and the volume of work being done nationwide. The refinance process was super easy.

Communication was difficult for a few reasons. There were multiple people that reached out regarding my refi. Documents were inaccurate on a few occasions (maiden name, including husband erroneously, misspelling my name). When I tried to have this corrected, I did not receive a response. It took my notary to make an urgent request to correct my documents. Closing dates weren't communicated timely. I needlessly paid my mortgage on both homes and am now waiting for refunds. Poorly managed.
I was asked to provide the same document multiple times after I supplied it the first time it was requested. Also, received an email from a different individual requesting that document as well even after I submitted it. I would have liked an outlined email detailing who the final closing costs needed to be payable to and correct amount as both were different in the closing disclosures. I also sent an email to have a call as i had a question before my closing and never received a response.
Always kept me updated on the process and kept me informed weekly.
