The process of my refinance was awful from start to finish. My agent Andrew was completely overwhelmed. He gave me incorrect info, was unresponsive to calls and emails, and seemed not to care. I had to request to speak to his manager, and stopped dealing with Andrew completely. There were countless errors made - even the closing docs were incorrect, and my loan was nearly derailed. I will be looking to refinance with another company as soon as possible to get to 2.5%.

Get things done within the timeframe promised. Don't request documents be submitted asap and then not look at them for a week.

My only suggestion is to make a scale of the loan status as it progresses. I want to know where I am at in the process as it goes along.

Not sure who you’re asking me to report on, but the one person I had most contact with was Thomas Papageorge. Everything with him was great until the end. He was supposed to call to discuss final numbers. Also I had a couple of issues come up after I signed closing docs and I never hear back from him either time. I feel that once he knew the deal was done, he didn’t need to respond. While that may be true, I won’t refer people to him directly. I will still refer people to Penny Mac.
