Communication. I have done mortgages professionally for over 40 years & this was the worst I ever experienced. PennyMac Staff does not answer phone calls - does not return phone calls & does not answer e-mails. At the very end of this arduous process - finally interfaced with ONE good PennyMac staffer who knew what he was doing. Other than him: the rest of PennyMac team was terrible. Entire PennyMac Refi System needs to be trashed & re-built from the ground up. You can't fix a system this bad.
Chris and Frankie at Penney Mac have excellent customer service and are extremely proficient in their jobs. They made refinancing an easy and quick process.
Return phone calls and answer emails within 24 hours. Too many people working on loan, different people asking for the same info. File notes not updated or accurate.

The closing document presented by the notary was not the same document that I e-signed. The document that I e-signed didn’t include the homeowners insurance into the projected monthly payment. Which led me to believe that the monthly payment was going to be over $90 less than what it actually was.
I only had one concern. In the beginning I had stated my lawyer preference and the closing went to a different lawyer. The closing went very well anyway.
Gina did an amazing job! However, prior to her involvement, my experience was not the best. I had to make several phone calls and got no response for several days after leaving numerous voicemails and being transferred from person to person with nothing being accomplished. It was extremely frustrating. Once Gina took over, she got things done and was awesome to work with! Thank you Gina!
Aubrey, Kristina, and Clark were wonderful, efficient, and extremely helpful. They made this process incredibly easy and much faster than I anticipated. I am extremely pleased with my experience!
