Very seamless experience. Best home refinance I ever did.
I am still dealing with the fallout of them not providing timely and accurate information. Such as them telling me after I made my July payment to not make that payment as it is not in the payoff for the refinance, that and I still have told me where that money went. They also would not look into the lower rates which are now .5% lower and were .25% lower when I asked them to review my rate and they told me I had the best rate (reviewing the data now out and available they lied to me).
My Loan Officer Max made sure the whole process went smoothly. He would update me every week. Any questions I had he answered them very quickly. It was a pleasure working with him.
It took about 4 times to get my closing documents accurate. You have a complete breakdown of communication on your end, and the process to get it all fixed took a very very long time. Additionally, some of the communication i got (secured e-mails) were a little aggressive.
Communication needs to be prompt and accurate. I provided everything within 24 hours, and if I couldn't, had multiple surgeries during process I let loan process know. I constantly had to badger loan officer, escalated case and Nancy Milla was great to work with. But she was given wrong paperwork for wire transfer. Had to cancel transfer from going to Citibank and setup a new transer to Synovus Bank. Ultimately, the VP - Mr. Vitaly had to get involved. I understand the volume of loans. Bad 👎
This is my second refinance with PennyMac - thru the entire process I was kept informed of every step. The rates provided were great, servicing of all my mortgage needs and communication has always been exceptional. I highly recommend PennyMac if you want a competitive rate and great customer service. In the past 10 years of being a customer they have kept my mortgage and done a great job!
1. Communication was horrible, I have not heard from my loan officer since I gave him all my information. I had 2 issues at closing and I am still waiting to hear from someone at PennyMac although I have called numerous times. 2. The refinance process took 90 days...never in 20 years of home ownership has it taken 90 days to refinance a mortgage. On top of the time frame, the communication regarding this was non-existent.
Ricardo Arreola Loan Officer ( NMLS # 1913978) Is a complete joke. The worst ever. I've been a loan officer for over 12 years and this guy is a moron. Totally selfish and non responsive. If I didn't already have a penny mac loan I would've left for my refi. Fire him!
