The refinance process was painless & easy. The standard documents were requested to be submitted. The signing process was quick and someone came to my house to complete it. My only recommendation would be to keep customers updated on their loan process a little more often. I went weeks without knowing where I was with completing my loan process. I submitted the application in May and closed in July the day before my rate lock ended. I was rushed to submit documents in order to close in time.

Denny M. was useless when I had an issue with inaccurate closing disclosure title costs. He made no attempt to help solve the problem. I had to contact someone else. However, the overall experience with PennyMac was good.
Fast. Very friendly and knowledgeable customer service reps. I especially appreciated Jeff Smith and all his knowledge and expertise.
The process took about 12 weeks and there was some miscommunication between Penny Mac and the title company that caused delay and frustration. I was asked the same question a total of 5 times and the information was still incorrect on the final documents. The loan officer was very nice and pleasant. We had all of our documents in within the first two weeks, and it just kept getting delayed. The monthly payment amount is about 75 dollars more than expected.
