We had to call for updates all of the time versus a proactive call from PennyMac. The closing documents were not accurate and needed to be corrected. The process took much longer than we were told. Communication was the biggest challenge and not sure if that is because of COVID19. There was also no communication on the day of close that the loan was funded etc. All we got was a response to my email stating that you were closed for the juneteenth holiday.

The process was pretty hassle free through it's entirety. The only issue I had was trying to communicate with my loan officer(s). It was very difficult to get my assigned officers on the phone. I understand the Pennymac is a large company. However, a handful of times I was helped by someone who was not directly involved with my loan at the beginning. That was fine, however, I would have like to have a more direct communication with the person who had been helping my originally.
