Very smooth and easy transaction. Kept informed along the way.
I started my loan application with PennyMac and Rocket Mortgage simultaneously. The communication from PennyMac was 10X better (more responsive and more accurate). When the Rocket Mortgage rate was substantially better, PennyMac matched the offer. When Rocket Mortgage improved their offer further, PennyMac continued to match to keep my business (my original loan was with PennyMac). Knowing that PennyMac keeps rather than sells the mortgage was important factor too.
PennyMac not only got me a great deal, but continued to keep me informed and educated along the way. Very responsive and kept me updated weekly. Closing was a breeze!
Marlon Bivens is VERY unprofessional and he is the sole reason I wouldn't NEVER recommend pennymac to anyone. His lack of professionalism was so horrible to the point I felt it necessary to reach out to the BBB to make them aware.
The only thing that helped in this whole process was the help from Craig Wood, if it hadn't been for him I don't think this process would have happened. When I called Peter Harris all I got was he was so busy with another 100 loans. NOT MY Problem. Take care of business at hand. Gwendolyn was never available and when she did call she would talk down to me like I was putting her out. Think about this Current customer prior, excellent credit, many assets, 2 months to close. PennyMac you failed,
HORRIBLE communication the entire loan process. We understand you can sell our loan at anytime. If we could, we would do the same. It was just awful working with Cammorah. Then we had the same experience working with Craig. He gave us his direct number and NEVER answered when we called. The only person who answered our questions immediately was Emerson. He was kind and considerate of our time and extremely professional. The rest of our experience was a total NIGHTMARE!!
Our original closing date for the loan did not happen. We never received a phone call from the notary and I reached out to the processor and did not hear back from him. I had to call PennyMac and reschedule a new closing date. I never heard an explanation for the missed closing date from the processor.?
Closed and funded sooner than expected. All my questions were answered in detail at time of application. Thank you
