While our initial contact was very good, it seemed that further along in the process our questions weren't being answered in a timely manner and sometimes not at all. Not sure if this was due to the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak or if they were just so busy with multiple accounts it was hard to keep up. Even though assigned a MAC team would have preferred being able to have direct contact with the person handling our account more readily. I will say everyone was very pleasant.

More communication. We were the ones always having to reach out instead of being kept in the loop and updated regarding our refinance. We even had to contact to ask if it was complete and that is when it was mentioned that a notary was going to come to our house. Terrible communication throughout the process.
I felt as though a lot of communications were poor...we were scheduled to settle and the agent didn't come so I called her directly and she said the signing was canceled. PennyMac never gave us the courtesy of a call which was extremely disappointing. My employer was called several times to verify employment even after she had written a complete history of my employment, two more calls were made to her. She was shocked at how unprofessional this was.
Happy that I was given accurate facts and figures through phone contact, limited need for additional paperwork, and closing/funding went as told on time.
Closing was very fast and easy. Document requirements were fairly minimal and straightforward.
After the first phone call everything went smoothly. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. My closing cost was surprisingly very low. The only thing I would change would be telling people that reviewing and signing documents on their phone is easy. I found it difficult but much more convenient than meeting in person. My overall experience was great.
