I didn't actually choose pennymac - my mortgage was sold to them after I initially took it out. If you have to have a loan through Pennymac then you need to prepare for a truly harassment-level amount of marketing from them. I swear I get three emails a day asking me to take out a new loan or refinance my current one, and then about every other month I get a phone call asking the same. This company bought out my mortgage from another company. In the transaction, I wasn’t notified that my mortgage insurance wasn’t going to be renewed. I now owe months of back pay on home insurance. I will be switching mortgage at the soonest opportunity that makes sense. These guys couldn’t even give me a courtesy waiving of the back pay. Most companies will. This one doesn’t. Beware. They didn’t even call me, but called me during that same time to try and get me to refinance. Go figure.

I can’t begin to describe my appreciation of the team at PennyMac. Great communication, empathy, no errors on my CD, and before I forget, I received the best deal!!!
