Working with the PennyMac team to refinance my mortgage loan was quick and easy. Guillom Hines' assessment of my current loan and his calculations of refinancing allowed me to feel comfortable selecting a new interest rate and monthly payment. Rachel Harris kept me updated throughout the refinancing process and called me on a weekly basis, even if it was to inform me she didn't have an update since the previous week. I am very glad PennyMac is my mortgage company!

Charisse Reed did a fantastic job once she took over the loan process. Unfortunately, that was not until a month and half into the process. Before that communication was lacking, despite several attempts through phone calls and emails. If it hadn’t been for Charisse we might still be waiting to close.
PennyMac is a wonderful mortgage company. However, my refinance experience was not that great. They were requesting the same documents so many times. They never e-mailed my employer for checking verification, yet they claimed to have done done so. They checked the automated employment verification for my spouse multiple times, yet kept on asking for the same info again and again. Same thing with bank documents. It was just too overwhelming.
Everything went according to Plan. The only thing that was of concern was that numbers were not adjusted after our automatic October Payment was made. I hope that my previous mortgage company will make the appropriate adjustments and refund the appropriate amounts.
Overall my experience with PennyMac was great, from the first call and through the entire process. Great support from the team.
Writing up the loan documents like they are your own. ( to save money).
