It was difficult to get anyone on the phone in a timely manner when I needed questions answered. The process also took twice as long as previously stated. The customer service number given needs its phone tree revised. I know it was a busy time for refinancing, but there needs to be better communication.

Blen is AMAZING! She was so great to answer all our questions and took great care of us! For PennyMac, overall, the closing costs are ridiculously high and should be considered criminal. But, other than that, they're easy to work with!

The beginning process was great when we worked with the loan officer but unfortunately the further we got into the process and handed over to someone else the less communication we received, the multiple requests we received for the same documentation, and incorrect closing date/time. We've had our existing mortgage with PennyMac so we wanted to give them a chance and if the end part of the process was at the beginning we probably would have moved to another mortgage company.
