I began refinancing on 7/15/2020 and was told the process would be complete by 9/1/2020. I signed closing documents on 9/28/2020. It was extremely difficult to get in touch with anyone at PennyMac to get any answers. I was asked multiple times for the same documents. I wasn't able to get clear, straightforward answers to majority of my questions. I received an email stating PennyMac had "determined my house was in a flood zone". My house has never been in a flood zone. Very "unpleasant".

The Loan processor communicated every step of the loan process and answered all my questions.

This was a drawn-out process where our expected closing date was pushed back several times, prompting multiple document requests. One time, documents were sent by email and were not opened or filed, and this too pushed our closing back further. Charisse is great, but that was a dropped ball.

People who told the truth, returned phone calls, and didn’t keep saying “that’s a different department. I don’t know what they are doing”.

The loan process was efficient. PennyMac employees were professional & knowledgeable. This is the 2nd time I used PennyMac. I definitely recommend their services! Thanks for the refinance!

Our experience was terrible. The first person that got our loan started, Gabriel, was fantastic. We received little to no notification when documents were needed. We were never updated. Tameka did not return any of our calls or emails. She even made an appointment for the notary to come to our house so we could sign closing docs but never sent the docs to the notary, never contacted us to let us know the appointment was cancelled. And we never heard from her, despite emailing and calling.
