We started the loan process in May - we kept having to provide bank statements because the loan kept getting extended. It felt like every month we were asked to provide the same documents. It was a hassle to constantly have to provide additional documents. On the other hand, we did get a good interest rate, so it was worth the hassle and time.

The whole process took 5 months - way too long. Several documents were requested more than once. I suppose most of the issues experienced were mostly because so many involved were working from home, and therefore not getting the normal communications. I chalk up my unpleasant experience to COVID. But Pennymac did not manage these crazy circumstances well. Be all that as it may, the process eventually was completed, and I write it off as water under the bridge.

The process was as simple and easy as possible. The process was much faster than I anticipated. The representatives were always friendly and helpful with any questions.

Absolutely pathetic experience.. And i will be extremely upset if you had me sign some documentation to request the closure of My home equity line of credit.

On several occasions I uploaded documents and weeks later was told they do not have them only to go find them myself in the portal provided by PennyMac. When I asked for clarification I was told to not ask that they would let me know when something was needed. I attempted to contact the manager but sat in hold for 2 hours with no contact. It took 2.5 months to close. I understand about COVID but a lot of my delay was due to poor management of documents and poor communication.

Our refinance process with Penny Mac was a quick and smooth. There personnel are extremely courteous and supportive. Ms. Gilbert, our closing official is awesome. She was attentive and while the process and some corrections to the final closing where being made, she kept us informed. We will defiantly recommend them.
