Timely response and outstanding customer service.
The issues were mostly caused by Covid -19. Questions and replies were delayed because of the fact that it had to go through several steps to get to the correct person and then for them to reply back. Because of these delays documents weren't sent to the person needing them and they were requesting them again when already sent. This caused the loan not to process when we were told and had to pay 2 more loan payments that they advised we wouldn't have to in the beginning.
Blen Alemu was very knowledgeable, really caring and responsive. The whole process was easy, painless and much quicker than expected. I am a happy customer.
Danyell Gilbert is a highly qualified loan coordinator. She keep us informed every step of the way what was going with our refinance right to the end of the process. You would be very lucky to have her handling your loan / refinance needs. We have the highest admiration for her and how she worked with us. Richard & Donna D
A closing date was selected and then an hour before closing, the notary called to say he didn't have the loan documents from PennyMac. No one from PennyMac called me. For the next three weeks I followed up but never got an email or call back. Finally, three or four weeks after I was supposed to close I got a random call about setting up a new date for closing. Jordan had no clue why I couldn't close that day and offered no apology for not following up on the status.
The whole process was easy! Communication was clear and available.
In the beginning we didn't feel we were getting some communications through. Had to contact a manager because our loan contact was not responding to calls or emails. Until the signing we never really knew "in print" if our request had been taken care of.
It was good, not great. It took longer than expected, but otherwise it was smooth.
