What made it a great experience was the updated information on my loan request.
Faster turn around not almost 6 months, was told had a refund of 2000, when sat to close the actual refund was 243.00, lack of communication.
It was a painless process from application to closing. Everyone I worked with was great and very communicative. I recommend PennyMac to anyone looking for a mortgage.
Kali was AMAZING!! She was very efficient with excellent communication throughout the whole process no matter how many questions I asked. She did everything she could to help move us along despite how busy Pennymac is with the popularity of the low rates. I am so happy that our refinance landed with her!
Lack of human communication. I know you’re busy, but this Communication was marginal
Everything was explained very well and closing was as easy as a few signatures and dates.
There were documents that were needed to get my file through underwriting that were not requested. I sent over what I thought was needed, even though they were not asked for, and sure enough they were needed. My refi was very stressful, which could have been avoided. It was also frustrating that I rarely was able to speak to anyone when I called. I always had to leave a voicemail, which sometimes led to days without a response. Towards the end I called daily to get an update.
Very friendly and answered my questions when I needed clarification
Due to COVID some document instructions were too basic and confusing. Having to leave a message and wait for a return call was concerning and frustrating. I had to submit my termite inspection 4 times. I would have appreciated more detailed instructions on messages regarding document need.
