It was difficult to reach someone to discuss my loan documents. I always received a voice message. Emails were answered several days later, and the questions I had were not answered. There was quite a bit of disorganization as I was asked to upload the same document three times.
Emmanuel was great.
The entire process was exceptionally detailed, we were kept informed every step of the way. Communication with Dannell was the best. We have never been more pleased with a mortgage company. We have already communicated to friends and neighbors how great PennyMac has been since we have been with them.
There were documents that were needed to get my file through underwriting that were not requested. I sent over what I thought was needed, even though they were not asked for, and sure enough they were needed. My refi was very stressful, which could have been avoided. It was also frustrating that I rarely was able to speak to anyone when I called. I always had to leave a voicemail, which sometimes led to days without a response. Towards the end I called daily to get an update.
Very friendly and answered my questions when I needed clarification
Sometimes it was difficult to get connected to someone. When i call, it will just keep on ringing at the other end. Or when someone called me or returned my call, i picked up the phone but got disconnected right away. The other end didn’t bother to call me back again. Submitting/signing documents on my portal was confusing. Wasn’t sure if I needed to submit documents on my portal because i had no idea or didn’t get an explanation what are those documents.
The loan process was quick and easy. Blen Alemu was extremely helpful and seemed like a friend who had all the answers during the loan process. I would recommend her and PennyMac as a whole to anyone looking for a mortgage or refinance. Thank you.
