Very happy with my experience.
The step by step roadmap was helpful to see and the links to the explanations for each step were also very helpful.
Everything was explained very well and closing was as easy as a few signatures and dates.
Good theam
Process began in mid-April and closure in mid-August. Way too long for a refinance when PennyMac held the mortgage. As a result, addition bank docs requested as ones I had previously sent were older than 60 days & a request for "all pages" of a bank statement when the documents show "Page 1 of 1." Because of the delay we were able to take advantage of new mortgage rates, from an initial quote of 3. 25% to 2.625% Robert Gillespie who came in late was very good and closing went well.
They make buying a home easy. Great communication and I loved having “my Mac team” by my side every step of the way after the application process until closing. Very friendly and real people to work with.
Communication. All of the frustrations I experienced boiled down to a lack of communication, both on the PennyMac side, and their contracted title company/notary. The first notary was two hours late and brought the wrong paperwork, and the second was a no-show. The third and final notary brought a different closing disclosure than the one PennyMac had provided, but it was close enough that I signed. In the end, I felt desperate to end the pain of their dysfunctional communication.
Poor communication from staff. Through the whole process I didn’t know what was happening or in what step we were on. Information was not clear and definite. I had to call the loan officer for clarification. However staff was very friendly and the whole process went fast and smooth which is why maybe there was no need to keep me inform since it was a pretty smooth straightforward process. Overall I’m very pleased because I got an excellent deal with a low interest rate.
The overall experience, the application process exceeded my expectations with both communications and time from start to finish. The whole Penny mac team made it simple and were very helpful to any questions I had. I will highly recommend Penny mac to anyone looking to buy a home.
