I was switched from a loan advisor I had for a month that did not complete his tasks. Xavier tried and did do his best after receiving my loan information. I was asked for documents multiple times, sometimes three times for the same document. I want to commend Xavier. I believe the middle loan officer I was given messed up the whole process. But we are closed and funded now after three and a half months, so I am happy.

Expectations of communication weekly was conveyed but never occurred. We sent emails with no responses and we felt when speaking with the loan officer she was condescending and within her scripts more than taking care of the customer and understanding their expectations/needs. Should you want to discuss specifics, let us know.

Communication was terrible once our loan moved to Jason. He would promise to get things done. From our understanding it was not his department that dropped the ball- had us set up with wrong title company and then had our closing delayed by weeks. Who knows who fault it was?!? But that’s what we were told. We would call and at one time it took days to get a response. Even at closing our balance was supposed to be zeroed and we still owed the title company a check- to balance things. Disappointed

First off, I legally change my name two years ago, it took multiple attempts to get Pennymac to acknowledge the name change documents and change my account. During the refi it became a mess, while most banks and institutions keep name changes on file, I was accused multiple times by the Penny Mac team that the real interest holder in my property was the guy with my old name. Or they kept wanting to add “my husband” to the refinance. I said multiple times I’m transgender.

I had to call MANY times to speak with a loan officer. I was told I would get call back at specific times and did not. When i did get through I was placed on terminal hold several times. I usually hung up after 20 minutes of waiting. I was called to schedule my closing and scheduled. Then I was called a second time to schedule my closing the following day. I had already requested time of from work but i had to make a second request becuase I as told I could not close on the day requested.

The lian took a lot longer than I expected but I understand that the recent rate drops and the amount of folks working from home in the US really put a burden on the team. Overall I'm pretty happy and besides the wait, the process was absolutely painless.
