My first and initial conversations with my Loan Officer Tyler Smedley was great. All staff were great. I could not reach anyone by phone after that, unless they called me. I do not remember ever talking with Robert Gillespie, for whom this survey represents. This was a refinance with my current and same loan service, and I was still left with questions if the documents I uploaded were sufficient. Also, I was not sure if I was to pay a final mortgage payment since we closed on the 4th.
we had a great experience refinancing, the loan group was very helpful and helped and answered all my questions all the time. I am happy I was assigned to such wonderful group.
On FOUR different occasions the PennyMac team confirmed a time for a mobile notary to come to my house, and each time nobody showed up. It was nearly impossible to get in touch with anyone from the PennyMac office to get a clear answer/update on the actual situaion . When I sent a frustrated email to Jason, he completely ghosted me and stopped replying. I was told a VP would contact me, and he never did. Communication was poor, and the whole process was a joke.

I didn't appreciate that at the start of the process I had asked if the rate goes down will I get the new rate. I was informed i would, later to fond out the rate did go down and I had to call another company and fill out a loan proposal with the lower rate in order for Penney Mac to honor the lower rate. That is unethical. Penney Mac knows the rate went down they should honor that. Made me look into going elsewhere. Penney Mac customer service needs to improve.
The complete re-financing process was very smooth. From the quick responses from everyone, as well as the ease in transferring and signing documents digitally and notary coming to our home. We never had to leave our house for this whole transaction. We have always had a good experience with PennyMac and that is why we chose to stay with them with this re-financing. I would highly reccomend PennyMac to anyone.

Pennymac made it very easy for me to refinance with them. I needed to provide very little documentation. Process was fast, simple, and I have a much better rate.
