This was unbelievable, this have been the without question the best mortgage transactions I have ever experienced. No stress and very informative. Superior Job.
Everything was easy to refinance our mortgage with a lower rate ! No out of pocket expenses! We even got a couple of hundred dollars back at closing !

Communication process seemed a little cumbersome. Either I didn’t fully understand the website or it was explained. Title company didn’t get my wife on the paperwork delaying the closing.
Jack Lalwani, an operations manager really went above and beyond to ensure everything happens on time in spite of July 4th long weekend. He followed up until the loan got closed and fully funded. He’s a star employee who takes extreme care about both the customer needs and Penny Mac’s ability to fund loans in time to their customers.
Overall, the communication from the PennyMac team was extremely poor and misleading. It was very difficult to get a hold of anyone, I was never given a direct phone number or email to my loan specialist. I signed a CD with a specific seller credit a week before closing. It was reiterated to me every day leading up to close that the specific amt was fine. Then the day before close, I was told that it was $2500 over the FannieMae limit. It was too late & I hadto cover that amt out of my pocket.
Pain-free process. All good.
