Despite all the craziness going on in the world, the process all though not quick was painless and very easy. Very professional and polite staff members and a great experience over all.

Anytime I emailed the mymac address, I never received a response. My LE and CD were sent incorrectly and I had to follow up multiple times to get them corrected. I had to call multiple times to attempt to schedule a closing. I do not feel like the communication was adequate during the process.
I liked that in the beginning I was contacted weekly, giving me updates on the loan status, but those calls stopped. It took 3 months to close, and for 1.5 of those, I had no idea if my loan was still being processed. We set a closing date, and no one showed up, I had to call to find out what was going on, we set another appointment a week later, which made it so I had to make another mortgage payment to my previous lender.
It was nearly impossible to get someone on the phone, when you did get someone on the phone, they were not informative and incorrect/contradictory info on documents needed or not needed then 2 weeks go back and why you were told was not needed and then closing document changed 4 times within 8 days. When notary was at my house - after calling and not getting anyone but being sent to voicemail box I finally got someone (15 calls later) then hold 45min before someone could answer my questions.

We always got emails regarding questions or other documentation, but when you needed to speak to whomever called or emailed you could never reach them! Calls always went to a “call center” and them would never pass you to the person you asked. Instead they tried to help. And in our case several people told us the WRONG stuff to send so it held closing up! Closing went fine and the lady who came to our house was really nice & efficient. Would not recommend PennyMac!
The closing department tried to make me use a closing attorney that i did not choose. I had provided my attorney's information initially on the application paperwork. This caused the closing to be delayed 3 weeks, 2 of which the closing department still tried to insist their attorney be used.
