Very poor communication, very slow responses, I didn't understand alot of the process due to have to wait 24 to 48hrs for a response. I addressed my concerns before and no one from management cared enough to contact me
The whole process was excellent! Blen was professional, knowledgeable, and very personable. Everything went so smoothly, all questions were promptly addressed, and I was kept in the loop throughout. I would highly recommend PennyMac to anyone considering refinancing.

I emailed Gwendolyn multiple times regarding questions on the documents that were pending. She didn't reply to my emails (only 1 time) all the other times I ended up calling PennyMac myself and I had to go out of my way and contact my Homeowners Insurance to obtain the Declaration page with the correct amount to finalize my closing. The 1 and only time I ever spoke to Gwendolyn she was a bit rude, sarcastic and seemed as if she was annoyed when answering my questions.
My loan takes more than 6 months. Every “follow up”/reply takes a week. Nothing clearly. And I submitted documents several times to several emails and persons and also online page. You should update and make everything smooth on an online platform to share everything easily.
I received 4 different closing documents; each were declared correct and final at the time given. This lead to a last minute adjustment before closing with the notary. A couple of incorrect items on the document were loan amount and closing cost. This process was more stressful than my initial purchase closing process.
Appraisal came out twice, my fees keep going up every week closing cost doubled at signing. Mortgage insurance went from 4 years to 15 years.
Charles was great. It’s the rest of the people I had trouble with. Seems like a talked to 20+ people during the course of the process. Feel like I was explaining the same thing over and over. At one point I had just figured the wasn’t going to go through and was ready to give up. Ultimately it did close, but it was very frustrating.
