Process was fairly easy. Kristen was quite responsive until crunch time and then it seemed she was overwhelmed and stopped answering questions in a timely manner. Overall not bad, but there were some issues that could have been avoided and caused significant delays in closing.
The amount of time it took to get back to me after asking a question. It seemed responses were only sent on a Saturday or Sunday. The rate dropped considerably during the 2 month plus time it took to close this. The previous loan through you all only took a little over a month. Squabbling over $32 on an account that you all wanted paid off was ridiculous. The original amount of the card was just over $200 and the full payment wasn't received though it was paid off. Having to wait until th
1)Truthful representation. For example, being told by salesman that we had been given an appraisal waiver, then being told by the second member of the team ( at the last moment) that we would need to go through an appraisal after all. 2) We waited for the "mobile notary" on our closing day and after the time for their arrival had passed by 30 minutes, we reached out to the notary who informed us that the closing had been cancelled. Penny Mac failed to get the docs to her in time.
Easy to do business with, I would recommend them for your next home loan or a refinance of your existing loan.
Give me real time frame of when then loan would be completed. I had to call each week to find out when, and each time I was told you should here tomorrow with a date. this when on for a month.
At the end as the closing date was upon us, it seemed that things were having to be rushed to close on the correct day. Perhaps that was due to appraiser. I am so used to face-to-face transactions that the e-loan was kind of uncomfortable for me. I believe everyone did what they could to make things go smoothly but with the Covid-19 challenge it just was kind of stressful. Having said that, everyone was extremely polite and I am getting settled in to my new home.
Really helpful with the Covid 19 shut down. Drive by appraisal and the notary wore a mask and we sat under the shade of an umbrella..We wore masks and gloves too. Really appreciated that consideration since both my husband and I are high risk seniors with health problems. Thank you so much for your help and consideration.
Very easy process, closing went as planned and seamless.
My only issue was my wife's name was spelled wrong on some of the paperwork which we did not know we would be able to close with Notary at the time but everything worked just fine.
