The whole process was very good from start to finish, except the communication of PennyMacs inability to close early when requested. I asked several times, as did my agent and the Title company. I was never given a straight answer on the inability to move the closing date sooner. I closed on my home sale early with a VA loan and this, instead of helping as I thought, made us homeless for 10 days during the holidays waiting for our loan to fund. Going forward I know and would use Penny Mac again

It’d be nice if someone answered the phone when I call. Someone also could of let the attorney know when the closing was instead of the day before.

Given the market was hot with new purchases and refinances, I felt like my refinance was getting lost in the shuffle. Janette and the team were trying hard, but information kept getting forgotten. I reminded the team on multiple separate occasions that our loan would have no escrow/impounds, but still paperwork came to me showing escrow amounts, even up until the end. Additionally our loan closing appointment was cancelled and we received no notice of this change, the push back to another week..

My only complaint is that we waited all day fie the Notary. We were supposed to close in early afternoonand did not close until about 8:00 pm.
