Given the market was hot with new purchases and refinances, I felt like my refinance was getting lost in the shuffle. Janette and the team were trying hard, but information kept getting forgotten. I reminded the team on multiple separate occasions that our loan would have no escrow/impounds, but still paperwork came to me showing escrow amounts, even up until the end. Additionally our loan closing appointment was cancelled and we received no notice of this change, the push back to another week..
First, Andrea was great. She seemed a bit over worked, so there was less frequent communication, but overall she was knowledgeable, attentative and very helpful. Second, the underwriting team asked for very unusual requests, asking me to have Pennymac be listed as first lien holder on insurance before I had a loan with Pennymac and having me address an obscure, needless issue with my appraisal. Glad underwriting is detailed, but there needs to be a balance.
Everything went smoothly and they worked with me to keep my business.
Everything was great until it wasn't. When my numbers were not correct and needed to be changed, I seemed to have less help, calls, and emails than I did before. Overall it was a great xperience.
The whole process was super easy, and loan officers helped with making sure everything stayed on timeline to close and communication was awesome and helpful from start to finish. Thanks everyone that helped my wife and I complete our refinance.
Had I not had her assistance I would have left this company for another!! Too much confusion with the MAC TEAM concept and sending timed emails that expire!!! Who sits in front of a computer waiting for unexpected emails and some even on 30 minutes expirations....silly and over kill! Someone with nothing better to do creating MAKE WORK security. She, and she alone saved the day for me!!! She should get a rating of 15! Your MAC Team did ask for repeat items but she always worked it out.
Mac Team does not understand customer service concept. I was provided terse inaccurate/wrong information. Called to complain -- no one took ownership. At outset, advised Elizabeth Vickerman not to rely on text messages; she ignored me. Was surprised when the Notary knocked on my door to close -- received no confirmation of delays/rescheduling. Closing documents were revised 4X. Those presented differed from any seen previously and did not reflect PM buyout amount. Nightmare experience. Called co
Better communication. I would rarely get a response when asked through email. My questions were only answered when I iniated a phone call, and even then Ms. Freeby seemed unfamiliar with my case. This all culminated in my surprise when my closing costs were ~$4000 more than what was estimated - not an insignificant amount. Unpleasant experience.
Everything went well- a few hiccups regarding the signature process but overall it was very successful and easy.
