The team at Penny Mac went above and beyond in my opinion. My family has suffered from COVID, and we needed a little more help with finances. So when I refinanced my home during this optimal market to do so, I wasn't sure how it would go since my finances were not bad, but not perfect. Pennymac came through for us, and we were able to save about $200 a month (perpetually). Nicholas Mayer & Floyd Taylor were outstanding in their customer service and professionalism and I am thankful to you guys!
My experience re-financing my home with PennyMac was a breeze! We were current borrowers from PennyMac and they made the process and closing so easy. They were prompt with communication about anything we needed to do. My agent, Ceista Johnson, called regularly to inform me of updates regarding my application. She was very helpful and would even call just to let us know everything was going smooth even if no information was needed on my part. She was fantastic to work with! Thank you!
Let's see, where to start. Firstly, Heather was great. She was super nice and responsive. However, I had about 6 different people who touched my loan and she was the only "good" one. There were so many problems with my loan I don't even have room here to go over it all here.
Brandon was in constant communication and updated me without fail each Friday. I appreciated his patience and help at times where we had to walk through a number of documents online. Everything from initial estimates to final signing was smooth sailing.
Overall experience was excellent the only confusion was failure to recognize school tax being under the escrow account and after it was posed in a question.
Penny was able to process my loan application quickly and timely. The process for reviewing and accepting an appraisal appeal took a lot of time. Loan servicing has a bit to be desired as the systems Pennymac uses are a bit dated and aren’t able to accept partial payments.
Seems like the loan officer and the "team" were out of sync a few times.
