I had no communication from PennyMac for weeks, only to have to call every day to get updated information. After pressing hard enough I was told additional explanatory documentation was required and that was what was holding up our closing date. I have no confidence that had I not pressed we would have closed within 60 days, let alone within the timeframe I was given first of 30 days. I have no confidence that without my persistence we would have not had to pay for a rate lock extension.
All questions answered, prompt answers to our questions, ease of getting/giving documents.
The assistant to Gina mis-quoted me payment and cash out many times. It was very confusing.
We refinanced an existing loan we already had with PennyMac and the whole process was very efficient and the rates very competitive. Debra Creelman was the initial loan officer and was very helpful in getting us started. Janette Matthews was our ongoing Home Loan Specialist and was simply outstanding - very prompt responses to communication, always helpful and we really felt she had our best interests at heart throughout. Thank you!
I do not wish to add any other comments about this survey for PennyMac Loan Services, LLC, as I feel this is just taking up my time durning my weekend and would like to do other things with my day other then writing this incredibly long commented sentence just so this survey from PennyMac Loan Services, LLC will let me hit the "Post My Review" button and continue on with my day.
Great experience
We love PennyMac and will definitely use them again if we ever buy another home. Justen Hunt is great at his job!
I have to start out by saying I am a Mortgage Processing Manager with Chase, so I have high expectations on customer service as I do my team. Communication was very poor and when I escalated my issues to Ceista manager Chris I never got a call back even after leaving a few messages. I understand that everyone is overwhelmed with everyone taking advantage of low rates, but as a processor and process manager you have to control what you can control and communication is what you can control.
All my answers of flawless customer service is exclusive to Brandon Schneider. Up until we started working with him, our experience wasn't so pleasant. We felt pretty much ignored for two months until Brandon took over and walked us through step by step and called with frequent checkups weekly. He is pretty much the reason we continued with our loan process with penny mac. He was very clear as to where we stood in the loan process. A big thank you is well deserved for Brandon, so please do.
