Communicate better. Every time I was asked to do some thing I did it promptly. When I needed some thing I had to bug people to get a reply over and over again it was very frustrating. I will never work with PennyMac again due to this experience.

Original loan officer suddenly was taken off and replaced. The replacement didn't know why. Long lengths of time without communication. Whole process took nearly 6 months. No explanation for delays. I didn't like not being able to communicate directly with 2nd loan officer. Processing website is too confusing and I couldn't locate documents I had uploaded to it. Multiple places on processing website that seemed like duplicates or just for my reading; unclear what still pending

Questions were never answered quickly. I always felt that we had to catch our loan processor up on our loan each time we talked. It was extremely stressful and it wasn’t until we were able to talk to Lara Leighton directly that things went smoothly. Thanks Lara!

The portal is a mass. It does not show what documents had been uploaded and time like other vendor's portal. The portal does not confirm the document uploaded success or not. The portal is the not like other lender's portal which showing your loan status and all documents uploaded. Also when the document uploaded, it is not confirmed how soon the document officer can view. Looks like it will take a day?

Nicholas was so incredibly helpful; he went above and beyond to answer any and all questions we had. I especially appreciated that he kept in contact with us making sure that the process was always going smoothly. He was always super polite and maintained the upmost customer service!
