Communication was horrible towards the end of the process. Title company and I couldn’t reach anyone at PennyMac for days. Closing went past the original date set and we weren’t informed.

I realize it is busy because of the rates, but it seemed like PennyMac needs more staff to deal with the demand.

Most of the problems had to do with the closer. The person who came first was quite ill informed and somewhat rude. I had to have a second closer, and he was fine to deal with but it did delay the closing and change the amount of money that I got paid. It also meant I had to pay my bank in order to stop PennyMac from taking my October payment. Had everything happened on time I would not have had to do that.

Christine has been great for keeping me informed and taken care of. It's my first time re-financing my mortgage, and she was there every step of the way to ensure I submitted the right documents and feel confident about the entire transition.
