The whole procedure of refi-ing took less then 3 weeks, even in these days of covid time is very important and we didn't have to leave the house.
I received an incorrect amount for Closing than stated from the beginning of the application process. However, when this was communicated, it was corrected quickly. The Closing Package had the wrong amount entered on the closing payment coupon & Other first payment documents. Advised the Processor who said this was escalated but I have not spoken with anyone to date on whether this was corrected or not.
Process was very easy except it's difficult to contact folks because of the number of people applying for refi. Contact by phone at the general number was almost impossible. Tami kept me up to date which was very helpful.
Jeanette is very thorough at what she does and communicates clearly. She follows up meticulously and keeps me in the feedback loop. She is very open to feedback!

Ms. Lori Gibson provided excellent customer service consistent with my previous experience with PennyMac. However, the loan officer, Ms. Vargas, did not meet my expectations. It was very difficult for me to reach her. It was equally difficult for my realtor and the local title office to contact her. This is my third home purchased with PennyMac and I can say Ms. Vargas is the worst loan officer i have had to deal with. My experience would have been much better with a different loan officer.
Buying a home can be a very stressful process and having an experienced, technologically advanced mortgage company through the process makes the home buying experience that much less stressful. I would highly recommended going with pennymac!
Took good care of our needs and it was done with excellence.
