Communication across groups was not effective therefore I was asked for the same documentation on several occasions despite having uploaded everything that was needed into my loan’s portal. In addition the portal was confusing and designed in a way that’s hard for an applicant to understand how to upload and confirm documentation has been provided.
Maybe you shouldn't let people fill out this survey in the time of COVID.. These are unprecedented times.. I understand that resources are stretched thin but we closed days after the rate lock expired. And eventhough PennyMac covered the cost of extending the rate lock, there was little to no communication to me during the final two weeks of the process. So while I understand the issues, please put an asterisk on my survey saying that this refi was conducted during the time of COVID.
Everything went exactly as we were expecting. We were a little concerned, especially with all the safety precautions being enforced. There were no major glitches that hung us up, even down to the Traveling Notary. He ran a little behind but that was to my advantage. I had assumed the wrong time, got home and changed just as he showed up. Thank God for great timing and thank you PennyMac for a painless refund!

The process was very easy to understand and complete. I did not experience any problems and the time frame was as expected.
This was an overall excellent experience. I initially just called to get a quote for a refinance on my mortgage. I was very impressed with both Penny Mac agents I worked with. Ricardo DeCarlo Took all my information and documents on my initial call. And Sheryl Freeby called to follow up with me And keep me updated on the loan at least Once a week. Both were very professional. The whole process, from initial call to closing, was completed in less than 4 weeks.
There were issues getting the condo docs from my HOA, which delayed my loan significantly. My HOA said they never received payment for the docs for months. Also, my final closing docs were inaccurate and included Property Tax and Insurance, and should not have
