We disclosed early in refinance process that we had unfinished home projects that would be completed after the refinance was funded. At the near end of the process, Pennymacs demands changed and they would not fund until after the projects were complete. If this was communicated, we would have made different decisions about the timing and company we chose.

Too much reliance on the web portal. Too much of what amounted to a home-work assignment for me. I sent and submitted documents multiple times. If it was not where you demanded it to be, I had to then figure out why and how to correct. The company has constructed a terribly efficient process, but not a very resilient process. Wonderful!
Response time was very long and the communication was poor. Also had several documents in the portal that weren't processed delaying everything .
your staff needs to learn how to pick up the phone when a client calls. By the way did you realize your staaf transfer all the money to the closing lawyer 1week an half before I even settle on the closing Docs.
Shay was great. The uploading software was awful. Shay saved the entire process despite the tools being used.
