Icenia was great to work with. Though she was extremely busy (demand for refinances is high), she was happy to answer my questions and always made me feel like they were welcome. The process was honestly very fast! I'm a current PennyMac customer who chose to stick with them through the refinance because I've had no problems with them, and this experience made me feel good about that decision. The company they use for closing could have been safer (no eSign), but I'm happy with PennyMac.

Raveena was good to work with. There were two big disconnects impacting my re-fi experience centering around cash to close. In conversations with the loan sales agent, there was one set of expectations around cash to close. In working during loan processing, I was told that wasn't correct. So we kept working on what was actually needed for cash to close. Then, when I went to get the cashier's check based on the last information provided me, the amount I made it for was over by almost $2k.

I think the ability to avoid inquiries, because of the electronic communication capabilities, are to great a temptation for most people to resist. People on my end of this process do not do this every day. There is no replacement for HUMAN to HUMAN communication.

More one on one talks, make it more personal. It seemed and felt very disconnected. Random emails requesting documents and then being told they weren't needed. Just a bit confusing at times. Long wait periods to move or complete with no communication.
