Ajanay has been great. The review is worded confusingl and not clear if it is for a person or PennyMac business entity. I feel like the PennyMac employees I have spoken to are all great folks. They have all been patient and polite even when I am being needy. The organization itself is bit awkward and does not make it on its employees. The web portal is annoying. There is a loan status page, I assume it was created so that we can find the current status of the loan. 500 limit hit! :(
It was a very smooth process and AJ was awesome. She was always in communication with me of all aspects of the refinance process.
The process was very smooth and fast. I suspect this has something to do with PennyMac already holding my existing loan - required documentation was minimal. There was some confusion as to whether I needed a witness at closing. I was told twice by PennyMac reps that I needed one, but I didn't end up needing one. Otherwise, the communication was great! Hector or other representatives were easily reachable and had answers readily available. Closing came faster than I expected.

Everyone we dealt with was extremely helpful and friendly. The process was quick, and nothing was requested that we felt was unnecessary. By far the best experience we have ever had with the home loan process. Thank you!
One thing I was not clear on, and am still not clear on, is what I need to do about my AutoDraft. I got notice that my loan funded via email on April 8th, we signed April 4th. I received several letters w/ payoff amounts, and I made a payment on April 2nd via Auto Draft. I believe this was an extra payment. I was unclear (still unclear) whether or not those should continue. Both old mortgage and ReFi are w/ PennyMac. Please advise how that extra payment will be handled...refund?
Even with the impact of COVID-19, response to questions didn't take very long. The secure online document submission actually made it even more convenient.
pennymac is the best place to do business with for house loan
Jorge was always available and if not he would call me before the end of the day. Documents were correct and timely.
